I needed this in order to work as a photographer for a local event (Ottawa Goth Syndicate Masquerade ball)
You know, taking the classic “selfie” is easy to do with a phone. It’s a lot harder with a DSLR.
Made from scratch: tinfoil, paper mache, hot glue, some old ribbon and gold lace, and some new paint. I’m trying to talk my birds into lending me some feathers, but no takers yet.
White Wolf- Practice fur project (Acrylic 8.5″x 11″)
This was my very first fur piece. I have avoided the complexity of this in the past, usually because of time constraints. However, even the details seem to have followed through from my preliminary reference material.
Ghost Ship (Acrylic on canvas 16″ x 20″)
This piece was completed on Christmas 2009 as a gift for my parents. They had described a painting that they fell in love with years ago of a ghost ship sailing from its wreckage. I started painting the ship with the intention of making the ship more opaque, like a ghost. However, the details were too much fun on the hull of the ship. I think I was still able to retain an element of mystery to the ship.
This is a long lost friend from between high school and University. The signatures seem to also have faded with it, but not the wisdom I gained from that experience. I hope you enjoy it, it is one of my favorite works, and still gets emotions out of me, though it might not mean much to anyone else.
